A Vancouver woman has been fruitless in a search for a person for nearly a month now — despite posters throughout East Vancouver and a social media post. Alanna Griffin isn't looking for a missing person, though. She's trying to reunite a missing steel-toed boot with its owner.

Authorities in Australia have determined that 19-year-old Canadian tourist Piper James of Campbell River, B.C., who died in January drowned after sustaining injuries from a dingo attack.
